Double World Cup winner with England U20’s and current member of Saracens senior squad

Simon has had a major influence on my transition from age group rugby into Professional rugby. At a young age he helped me develop various attributes of my game to help me become a better centre. He is always thorough and detailed with his training sessions, and there is a clear understanding of what we are trying to achieve by the end of them. On a personal note, he has always been reachable since leaving Skinners School and we have kept a close relationship.

I’ve had the privilege of not only being coached by Simon Jervis but getting to know him on a personal level as a mentor. I can honestly say he is both an unbelievable coach and a great person, who cares for every individual he works with. Over the 2 years I was coached by him, he really helped me refine my game and become a more consistent overall player. He took time to work with me 1 on 1 with my skills, most notably my kicking. Additionally, he helped me with the mental side of the game with my confidence – a very important aspect of today’s game. Simon also showed me ways to control my emotions in the heat of a game which has resulted in me having a clearer space inside my head to allow myself to think on my feet a lot quicker without other factors interfering. Simon’s breakdown and analysis of the game has also allowed me to look at performances and parts of my game more critically and made me rectify aspects that may not have worked.

Our Services

1-2-1 coach
1-2-1 coaching

1-2-1 coaching is an extremely good way for a player to improve their game quickly.

Each session will include some appropriate physical conditioning as well as identifying ways in which the players can improve their mental, tactical and technical understanding of the game.

1-2-1 sessions are really good for improving a player’s physical attributes as they will be working intensely for the hour long session. With repetition and constant coaching vast improvements will be made.

Through the power of video analysis players are encouraged to self-assess and reflect on how they can improve their performance. This adds another dimension to allow players to use all methods of learning which include visual, auditory and kinaesthetic approaches.

Small group rugby training skills
Small group sessions

We understand that a 121 environment does not suit all young athletes and so we can accommodate small group training sessions that will allow athletes to learn and develop in a more familiar environment. Whilst this is always an option, it may mean that we are unable to accommodate the individual needs of those attending the small group sessions. We will always try and address the needs of those attending such sessions.

Sports Camps

Our sports camps are led by experienced and knowledgeable coaches. We aim to provide an environment where young athletes have fun at the same time as developing their skills and improving their fitness. We aim to engage the young athletes through a games based approach to develop their sporting skills. Through the medium of sport and exercise, we believe that young athletes can grow their mental toughness.
